The municipal facility is a resource center for women that works on comprehensive care for gender-based violence, awareness-raising, prevention and the promotion of the feminist economy.

"CIBA is the commitment of the Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council to have a strong and dignified equality and feminism policy. It is a major city project, which has been in operation for more than five years," says Maria Freixanet, director of Equality Policies at the Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council. CIBA is a resource center for women that provides them with tools to improve their personal autonomy in all areas of life. The municipal facility brings together several services, including the Center for Information and Comprehensive Care for Women, which offers complete support to women who suffer or have suffered gender-based violence. "We also focus on raising awareness and preventing good treatment between men and women and a final branch of feminist economics, where we facilitate training and literacy and the empowerment and strengthening of women," Freixanet points out. Likewise, there is 'La CIBA menuda', which consists of supporting young children and families with spaces for free play, co-education and babysitting. "This is a key moment, where the first gender socializations are created. The public event is part of, involved in and co-educates within the family unit. We are a deployment of proposals and political commitments to accompany the women of the city towards vital autonomy and freedom", points out Freixanet.

Under the title 'Data Feminism versus Disinformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence', the 6th International Data Feminism Conference brought together women experts to discuss the role of data feminism, open data and responsible artificial intelligence as tools to combat disinformation and strengthen democratic quality. "One of our most important lines is that linked to knowledge. We are aware that we are at a time when what is true and what is not true are increasingly mixed and this disinformation generates fear, insecurity and, sometimes, situations of regression", explains Freixanet. The event addressed key issues such as, for example, the impact of disinformation on women's rights, the risks of artificial intelligence systems fed with biased data, the role of algorithms in digital polarization or the opportunities offered by digital tools, observatories and interactive visualizations for public debate. "We believe that it is necessary to promote a strong reflection on the role of data. For us, this makes sense in democratic terms and in feminist terms, since unfortunately women's rights are the first rights that are on the grid. In addition, a day like this helps us to make better public policy in our country and protect our rights," says Freixanet.
