The Dones en Xarxa organization has presented a new call for applications for the Women Startup Challenge program. This is an initiative aimed at identifying, promoting and giving visibility to women founders or co-founders of emerging companies and innovative projects in the digital and technological fields. Dones en Xarxa wants to continue contributing to reducing inequalities between women and men, generating alliances to promote women's leadership and recognizing entrepreneurial projects. The program offers the opportunity to be part of a community of women who develop innovative projects, share experiences and contribute to transforming the digital ecosystem through talent, collaboration and technology. Therefore, the new edition seeks to strengthen the presence of women within the entrepreneurial and digital ecosystem, offering opportunities for visibility, connection, mentoring, training and access to professional innovation networks. Specifically, the Women Startup Challenge 2026 will offer mentored sessions, individual and group, with expert female managers from large companies, access to networking spaces and events, digital resources and participation in the international Woman Lider TIC 2026 conference . Until Tuesday 23 June, women founders or co-founders of emerging companies in the digital field, digital innovation or STEM disciplines established in Catalonia and with a maximum of three years of activity can apply to the new call for applications for the Women Startup Challenge program. As a requirement, the project must be led by a woman or women must represent more than half of the organization's participation. In parallel, through Barcelona Activa, the winning company will receive a six-month support stay in a support program for women entrepreneurs and the three finalist companies will receive an entrepreneurship support session.
